FAQs
Do I need to have done Pilates before?
No — beginners are very welcome. Classes are taught with clear layering and options, allowing you to work at a level that feels appropriate for your body. If you’re new to Pilates, please contact me before starting so I can help guide you to the most suitable class.
Are your classes suitable for mixed abilities?
Yes. All classes are mixed ability and designed to accommodate a range of experience levels. Exercises are offered with variations and progressions so you can choose what feels right for you on the day, while still working towards improved strength and control.
I have an injury or ongoing condition — can I still attend?
In many cases, Pilates can be very supportive when taught correctly. It’s important that you contact me in advance to discuss any injuries, health conditions or concerns so I can advise whether the class is suitable and suggest appropriate options.
What if I need to take things gently?
Listening to your body is actively encouraged. You’ll never be expected to push through pain or discomfort, and you’re always supported in choosing a lighter or more challenging option depending on how you’re feeling.
What should I bring to class?
Please bring your own mat and a small towel. Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely.
How do I book a class?
To ensure Pilates is safe and appropriate for you, all clients are asked to contact me directly before starting. This allows me to understand your experience and needs and help you get the most from your classes.
How do I get in touch?
You can contact me via the Contact page on the website. I’m always happy to answer questions and help you decide if Pilates with Bird Pilates is right for you.
